Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project aims to support students in grades six, seven, and eight by ensuring that they have the basic tools to support classroom learning including pencils, erasers, glue, and highlighters. As a Title One school, many of my students do not have the family resources to provide these items which can lead to frustration and even embarrassment. Some students may simply not have a needed item because it was forgotten at home or in another classroom. Having these supplies on hand will ensure that teaching and learning will continue uninterrupted.
The motivational pencils, stickers, and pencil clips will be used to reward students for demonstrating positive classroom behaviors such as working well alone and with others, performing well on a classroom assignment, or doing the "right thing."
