My Students

I am a special education teacher in a Title I School District. What does this mean? Just about 95% of our students qualify for free or reduced price lunches. Most of the students have seen more in their short years of life than most people will experience in a lifetime.

Despite the difficulties these children face on a daily basis, they are resilient.

These kids are some of the most hard-working, determined children I have ever met.

My Project

We are just about half-way through the school year and our supplies are severely limited. We have run out of most supplies that students need on a daily basis such as pencils, erasers, dry erase markers, etc.

We need a replenishment!

Our classroom needs a replenishment of supplies in order to make it until June and not have to have the students go out and buy their own supplies. We also need some new supplies such as markers, glue sticks, colored pencils and scissors in order for the students to have all that is necessary to complete their monthly book report projects.
