This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each and every day my students come to school to learn. They are excited to be a part of our classroom. I want my students to get the most out of their education in my classroom. I want them to feel safe and happy at the beginning and end of each day.

If I had to describe my students, I would definitely say that they are explorers and excited to be in school for the most part.

No matter what problems they may face they know that the teachers at our school really care for them. My upcoming 2nd grade class is full of students who are ready to learn.

My Project

The resources that I am requesting for my students will help them in many ways. The copy paper will help the most. We often lack materials such as work books so the copy paper will really come in handy for their learning. The markers will help with their art activities in the classroom. Many students cannot afford such materials therefore this would be a huge help. I am asking for 10 headphones so that the students can have access to our listening center and our computers. Technology plays a big part in our classroom and these resources will help my students use the technology that we do have access to. Lastly, I asked for a presentation pointer which will help with our smart board. The pointer will allow me as the teacher to walk around the classroom and monitor their learning rather than just standing up at the front of the classroom.

This project will definitely make a change in my students' lives because it will allow them to not have to worry about supplies when they come to school.

It will give me the opportunity to give my students the materials they need to succeed. This project will also allow my students access to technology that we do have in our classroom. Many schools are not lucky to have the technology that we do but in order to use it, we will need to get our project funded.
