Supplies Needed for Our Classroom

My Students

I teach approximately 60 third through fifth grade children. My students are very diverse, but they are all extremely creative, innovative, and love to explore new ideas and concepts.

In our classroom, my students learn that in order to be truly innovative they must be willing to take risks that may involve failure.

They also learn that experiences that begin with failure are simply opportunities from which to learn and become successful. They are transforming into lifelong learners that are not afraid to explore, improve, and reinvent the world around them.

My Project

My students need a classroom iPad for multimedia lessons. My students love using our classroom iPads for research, programming Sphero robots, creating green screen videos, playing educational Osmo games, and so much more. Unfortunately, we do not have enough iPads in our classroom to fulfill student needs.

Helping our class to purchase an iPad will allow more of my students the opportunity to participate in multimedia and STEM activities.

You will help me put more devices in the hands of more students to allow for additional programming, videography, research, and STEM activities.

We also need trade books that can be used as teacher read aloud stories to prompt conversations on common social and emotional needs of gifted students. These books will be used to help students learn that other children share some of the same concerns and needs that they have as well as to help them develop coping strategies.
