Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are children that spend a lot of their time in the hospital due to cancer and the treatment they need to get better. During this remote learning period, I am doing video lesson with my students on a daily basis to bring them some sense of normalcy and joy.
My Project
These are hard times right now with the Coronus virus keeping our schools closed.
But just because the building is closed does not mean that learning has stopped.
I am still working hard to make engaging and fun lessons for my students while they are at home.
When my students came to my classroom, I would provide all that they needed for the lesson. But now that we are apart, it is hard to do some lessons because my students lack supplies such as scissors, glue, crayons, pencils, printing paper, etc. I do not wish to ask parents to buy these supplies because many stores are closed and some parents have lost their jobs. I would instead like to make care packages for my students with the supplies they need to successfully learn remotely. Thank you!
