Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For this project, I am requesting various supplies such as cardstock, glue, and paint sticks to give students hands-on learning experiences in our Mixed Media class. With the variety of paint sticks, for example, students will study and learn about the artist Romero Britto and then make their version of his pop art creations. Students will also study the painter Wassily Kandinsky and make a variation of his famous concentric circles using a heart shape.
With these supplies, students will be able to engage in project-based learning to explore new artists, techniques, and ways of thinking while exploring their creativity.
At a time when our school's art budget has been drastically cut, these supplies will make a world of difference in what students can create and explore.
