My students need essential supplies for school with our new learning center classroom! Lots of hands-on activities using paper plates, paper bags, construction paper, etc. will encourage creativity.
Port Arthur-vs-Everybody continues to be our theme this 2018-2019 school year! Our community STILL has 1,000 households displaced from Hurricane Harvey, but our amazing students continue from survival into revival!
Our FCCLA (Family Career Community Leaders of America) members won top honors at FCCLA Region IV convention for most hours donated and most items donated to Hurricane Harvey Service Project 2017-2018.
Our students are striving against many odds in many areas: testing, academics, sports, and community involvement to achieve their goals.
My Project
With an ample supply of various mediums, like paper plates, paper bags, pens and pencils and construction paper, students extend their learning with hands-on activities they inspired! Paper bag puppets created for human growth class while studying toddlers will be fun to see and use in the class is just one example! The printer ink cartridges gives us access to print free downloadables!
They foster ownership for their learning by creating and expressing THEIR ideas of what the curriculum and instruction should look like in the real world.
The connections made with their creative pieces help them retain/recall/remember important key points of our lessons. Theirs to keep when done is always gladly received!!
