Our school's neighborhood is diverse linguistically, culturally, and socioeconomically. Some of the languages these students speak at home are Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Mandarin, Cantonese, Somali, and Haitian Creole.
In terms of English Language Development, many students are beginners or intermediate and receive ESL from me to support their academic English in the domains of reading, listening, speaking, and writing.
Students in my classroom are English Learners (ELs). Since I am a resource teacher, some of the ELs I work with also receive special education services.
My Project
In order to support student learning in the classroom, some basic classroom supplies are needed for my students with disabilities. These supplies will help to make a positive impact on student learning.
This project will help to fund a variety basic classroom supplies needed for students with disabilities.
The pencils will be used by students daily for all of their written work. The anchor chart markers will be used when writing on the anchor chart paper. The essential oils are needed as our classroom diffuser is running out of these oils which help students with disabilities relax in order to focus on academic learning
