My Project

First grade is such critical year for students because they are learning the foundational math and reading skills that are necessary to be successful. My students are so excited to learn and love having hands-on experiences.

The materials that I am requesting will be used to create more meaningful learning experiences for my students.

The math manipulatives (base 10 blocks, counters, and 10-frames) will make learning difficult concepts much more engaging and fun for my first graders.The new books will help me teach many of the required reading standards with captivating stories and characters. Lastly, the spinners, markers, gel pens, and small toys are all items that are highly motivating for first graders to use. They make learning fun for the kids!
