Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 6th-8th grade ELA students are mostly from low-income families and receive free or reduced lunch. Some cannot afford to buy basic school supplies.

Not knowing how long we will participate in distance learning, my hope is to be able to provide consumable supplies that students may use both at home or when we return hybrid face to face.

In either case, I want to be able to provide classroom supplies they can keep. Once they have the tools they need-they soar! I want to remove as many obstacles to learning as possible in this difficult time.

My Project

Whether hybrid or distance learning, help remove obstacles from education. Many of my families have suffered financial setbacks as well as technology challenges during this pandemic.

The items in this project will be used both at school and at home learning, and are essential to following guidelines for not sharing materials.

The electric sharpener will provide a second sharpener to help with social distancing, the students will be able to keep the school supplies to use daily.

These supplies will help ease student concerns over purchasing basic supplies for school.
