My Students

I teach Kindergarten and Extended Day Kindergarten at a Title I school. Our school has a variety of students, that come from many different types of backgrounds. I teach the most at-risk students and help them get ready to take on first-grade full force. I want them to leave my classroom and be successful and have a good experience in Kindergarten as they begin their education.

Our Kindergarten students need basic materials to help them be successful during critical parts of our day including, Writers Workshop, literacy centers, and math!

By having what they need we can improve their academic achievement!

It is amazing what can be accomplished in Kindergarten. We have a busy schedule and many things that need to be taught each day. Once we have some foundational things taught we want them to be writing and expressing their knowledge on paper.

"If you can SAY it, you can WRITE it. If you can WRITE it, you can READ it. If you can READ it, you will KNOW it!"

My Project

These resources will continue to enhance my classroom. My classroom is full of little hands and minds that can change the world. All they need are the right tools and resources to help them be successful. Students are VERY hands-on and need multiple ways to learn. During centers and small group time, many of these resources will be used to create engaging activities.

With these engaging, resources and tools for center time , my students can be successful in multiple areas throughout our day!

We are so grateful to be in the classroom together where we can learn and grow together. Students need to be learning with and from each other! With all of these resources for our center time, we can be successful and continue growing and learning. We will use the resources in literacy to enhance our center time. The math resources will help reiterate and get the students practicing what we are learning.

For this project:

In Literacy we are in need more hands on activities. Having activities such as at the fill in the blank stamps, and the CVC activity cards, students can be engaged and having fun while learning!

In writing, we are in need of supplies, such as white boards where they can practice before putting their writing on paper. Having white boards, spacemen and markers are so important for our success. We love to practice both whole group and in centers.

In math centers, having materials such as the POP game for addition and subtraction and the POP it game with dice, these will be engaging and help in our math centers!
