My Students

As students who live in the center of the city, the kids in our class will be coming with a wide array of experiences and backgrounds. Each student brings with them their own family culture creating a diverse environment where learning extends past the academics. In our classroom, the two teachers who work with these students encourage a challenging and engaging experience for students every single day.

As two first year teachers, we are very excited to create a classroom where students feel safe, welcomed, and challenged.

My Project

The coming school year will be the first in which I will be teaching on my own. Because my co-teacher and I are splitting up, my classroom is lacking in some essential items to help every kind of kid have the most successful year possible.

I'd like to create a classroom where learning is accessible for every student.

All of the supplies in this project will help a student access learning in some way. Flexible seating helps wiggly bodies stay focused. Supplies like pencils and paper are essential for us to provide projects and classwork. STEM supplies help project-oriented kiddos extend learning. It is so important to me to have access to the resources I need to create a school year that is not only academically successful, but memorable and fun for every child.
