My students need copies of reading practice paired passages which is why I am asking for copy paper. Many of our reading copies were damaged from Irma. The students also need hanging files for their work.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have learning disabilities and although their processing speed may be slower, their love for reading is strong. Please help me keep their motivation and love for reading alive. My students are mostly immigrants and do not have access to computers or many books. I work in a Title I school where the majority of our students receive free lunch due to the poor economic location of my school. My students need a variety of styles to meet their special needs.

My Project

These materials will allow my students exposure to paired reads and allow them to score higher on the standardized tests. The materials will replace paper and folders damaged by humidity and rain during hurricane Irma. Many of my students come from low income households and do not have basic school supplies such as sharpeners and paper. The laminating machine will prevent the class materials from any future damage and protect our resources. The laminating machine will also allow me to create reusable and visual resources for my students with learning disabilities. These resources will be priceless in furthering their educational needs
