My Project

As a passionate educator, I’ve seen firsthand how art can transform a child’s learning experience. In a world that often emphasizes testing and rigid academic standards, art offers students a much-needed outlet to express their emotions, explore their identities, and develop critical thinking skills in creative ways. Art is not just about painting or drawing—it’s about storytelling, problem-solving, collaboration, and confidence. It allows students of all learning styles and backgrounds to connect with their own voice and share it with others. Unfortunately, despite its importance, art education is often underfunded, and many classrooms—including mine—struggle to provide the materials students need to truly engage with artistic learning.

This year, I am working to raise funds to purchase a wide range of visual art supplies—everything from paints, paper, to mixed media materials.

These supplies will be used across multiple projects throughout the school year, giving students the opportunity to work with different mediums and develop their creative skills over time. I want to ensure that every student has access to high-quality materials, regardless of their background or financial situation. No child should miss out on the joy and growth that come from creating something with their own hands simply because of a lack of resources. The snow globes will be used to make a fun winter craft that my kids can take home for their families to enjoy art as well!
