My Students
Our school is a special place. Compass students put a lot of pressure on themselves to do well and "ace" tests. I want to create an environment for these students to flourish and feel empowered to meet the standards they put on themselves everyday.
My students are writers, readers, scientists, athletes, friends, and problem solvers.
They want to measure up to the expectations they set for themselves each day - they want to succeed. It's my job to set the stage for this success in every way possible.
My Project
Students spend hours a day looking at worksheets and papers to complete. Printing in color is typically a privilege for public school teachers, though it can "brighten" up a classroom immensely. I would like to have the ability to print in color and give students a change in their mundane stack of papers to help important concepts stand out or become memorable. Being able to laminate these items will help to ensure that I can use resources for years to come - making my classroom more sustainable than the typical "print one copy for each student" and then the papers get tossed at the end of the lesson.
