My Students

I teach second grade at a school where students thrive on the success of each other, creating a loving environment for their classmates. Every morning, my students come to class with an eagerness to learn. They are a group of 19 amazing students, who work hard to come out on top with their learning.

My students encourage each other to be the best they can be and to create a loving community throughout the classroom.

They support each other in their learning, and work hard to become great lifelong learners.

My Project

My students are active writers in 2nd grade! Our class needs a set of 1 inch 3 ring binders to hold all of our mentor texts as well as their drafts in writing. The binder dividers will allow my students to stay organized for each writing unit as well.

Our class uses mentor texts to learn craft moves of other authors.

They constantly refer back to these mentor texts to get ideas and try them in their own writing. By having these binders, they'll be able to keep organized and have all their mentor texts in one place. These binders will also serve as a portfolio by housing all of their writing resources and graphic organizers that follow the writing process.
