This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a first year teacher, I want to create an environment for the students where their parents don't need to worry about supply costs for learning. I want to be able to provide each student with as much as I can so that learning can take place with all the supplies needed. My goal for this project is to be able to reduce the stress and worry on parents when it comes to school supply shopping.
Specific items from my list that would benefit the students are crayons, glue sticks, construction paper, white board markers, books, and snacks!
These items are just a few supplies that would benefit the students learning, as they are supplies that would be used in the classroom almost everyday. I have also included snacks in my list because some parents don't have the resources to get snacks for their children and having a full stomach and clear mind are important to a child's learning. I will have these provided in my classroom for students that were not able to bring any or for those students that may need a pick me up!
