This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Energetic, inquisitive, and intelligent are the words I would use to describe my students. My students are faced with several challenges in all areas of life.
Despite the many challenges they face daily in their environment, I am motivated to provide all of my students with experiences that would make them well rounded life-long learners.
My students come from a low socioeconomic area. They are faced with issues that can't be addressed through education. As a caring educator, I desire for them to have everything they need in order to succeed. Many of my students depend solely on me to provide and protect them in and out of school... my students are very special to me!
My Project
My students will be returning from Winter break next week. They need glue, paper and pencils. These resources will be used for them to work out their math problems and take notes in science.
My students bring supplies in the beginning of the school year, but when the supplies run out they struggle to replenish them throughout the remainder of the school year.
Learning must still take place even when supplies aren’t in our classroom. I want my students to be able to focus on learning instead of where they are going to get their next set of school supplies. Having these supplies will allow my students to excel in learning.
