This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a small Title I school where a lot of my students qualify for the reduced price or free lunch program.

Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds.

There are 16 different languages spoken at my school. Most are English language learners, speaking English as their second language.

My 5 year old Kindergarten students usually come into Kindergarten not knowing much, but it's amazing to watch them learn and grow over the school year. Many students say they are having so much fun that they want to come to school even on weekends.

My Project

I just attended an awesome Kindergarten curriculum conference called KinderMath. It's hands-on fun and aligned with Common Core standards. If I can get everything printed and ready, it would be a wonderful program for my students. However, this program needs a lot of preparation on the teacher's side, and it gets expensive getting all the materials such as binders, sheet protectors, and the storage bins to store different units.

Each unit focuses on different topics that my students need to learn in order to master the standards.

I'm very excited to have found this awesome curriculum that has been teacher-tested and proven to truly work wonders for students.
