My Students
My students come from a title one urban school with 100% of our students receiving free breakfast and lunch. Despite the many challenges my students face both in and out of the classroom, my goal is to create a learning environment that is both safe and productive.
My students are eager to learn.
They come to school with joy, and anticipation for a day of learning. It is the gleam in their eyes, their questions, their readiness, their inquires, and their zeal for learning, that fires up the passion I have to teach and do my best every day.
My Project
I want to provide my students with much needed basic school supplies to start the year and to have enough quantities to last throughout the school year. The supplies includes: primary notebooks, scissors, glue sticks, crayons, folders, pencils, and table caddies.
The primary notebooks will provide my first graders with specially lined pages to help them with the sizing and spaceing of their letters.
These pages also provide an open space to illustrate their writing and express their creativity.
Folders will be used to hold work and other important pages. Table caddies will be used to hold supplies like pencils and crayons. These supplies will keep students organized and on task while encouraging creativity.
With the crayons, scissors and glue, they will be able to do hands-on activities which require the ability to cut, color and glue. Students take pride in their work when they have the proper supplies to complete them.
