Supplies for Environmental Field Study Experiences
Help me give each of my students a waterproof bag and a water bottle will help my students on their weekly field study trips.

My Project
My fifth grade students learn best when they are exposed to hands on experiences. These students often have difficulty in a traditional classroom setting so we take weekly walking field trips to meet with community members where we learn gardening techniques and help with outdoor service projects.
While we are there, the students have opportunities to observe, draw, and write about their experiences.
Having a dry bag will help to keep their supplies protected from the weather and a water bottle will allow the students to stay hydrated during our walks to the gardens.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
