Supplies for English Language Learners' Afterschool Activities and Studies

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Twice per week, I have created a space for English Language Learners to come practice their English language skills and prepare for the SAT after school hours. This space is open to all English Language Learners at my school. Each week, I am joined by a group of dedicated students eager to quickly improve their English language skills in addition to the ENL (English as a New Language) services they receive within the school day. This after school class is not required of any students; therefore, your donation will be going towards a group of hardworking students who truly want to improve their English as well as prepare for the SAT. In this space, we focus on students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through various activities, games, and practice.
The resources I have requested for this project will be used in the following ways for our afterschool English Language Learning space:
SAT Prep Materials: Our 11th and 12th graders are currently preparing for the SAT. These materials will help them study for the exam in our afterschool space, especially given their added challenge of learning English as a new language.
Snacks: Our students are often hungry after school, but many still choose to stay after to have a quiet space to work and study. These snacks will help feed our students as they do their work.
