This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students come to the counseling offices for a variety of reasons, whether they need extra support with organization, are having a bad day, or need advice on classes that help them explore personal and career interests. As a counselor, I support students in all of their needs and I use a variety of supplies and strategies to address their concerns.

These supplies will help me address a variety of student needs, whether they be academic, social-emotional, or college and career.

The fidgets and will be helpful for students who need to hold things in order to help them concentrate or calm down. The hand rollers and stress balls in particular are very popular with students and having more means I will be able to loan some out to students who will need help with focusing and de-stressing throughout the day. The folders, highlighters and planners will be helpful for my students who need additional support with organization and developing organizational strategies, especially my students who have disabilities that impact their executive functioning.
