My Project

Our school is a special education program for students in grades 7-12. My pupils have various mental health diagnoses, and are classified as learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, and/or autistic. Additionally, I work with many immigrant families, many of whom live below the poverty line. Despite these challenges, my students come to school ready and willing to learn.

We are requesting much-needed supplies for our cosmetology program.

We are requesting supplies like disinfectant liquid, hair towels, brushers, makeup kits, acrylic nails, combs, tweezers, and hair gel. My students are building their vocational skills and self-care. In addition, when my students feel beautiful, and builds their emotional health as well. I strive to provide my students with both the educational and mental health tools they need to succeed.
