This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are spectacular this year! They are passionate, energetic, and engaged like I've never seen. I expected students to come in this year after a crazy Covid-year-and-a-half and be indifferent and unengaged, but my students are the exact opposite. They are eager to learn and do. They are definitely more tactile and kinesthetic learners.

My Project

My students are very tactile and kinesthetic learners. They need more supplies to give them more opportunity to do active lessons. I want to make a Maker's Space area in my classroom, and I want to be able to do more hands-on lessons and crafts with them. Our school does not have the funding for some of the most basic supplies like construction paper and markers. I also need a digital microscope for science standards. Because they are so wiggly and active, they need some cushions for their active bodies!
