This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from many diverse backgrounds which require many different approaches to teaching and learning. My students come in every day excited and ready to learn. Our school is a low-income school where every child receives free breakfast, snack, and lunch.

Many of our students come from homes that speak a language other than English and having the tools in the classroom my students need in order to succeed is very important to me!

Knowing my students come from different backgrounds and learn differently, I want to make sure they are well-equipped with all of the materials they need so that they can all learn to their highest potential and be prepared for the future.

My Project

My students are going to be starting a new school year in person. With this being said, I want to make sure my students have an organized, inviting, and well equipped classroom to start the school year off right! Being a public school teacher, most of my materials are bought with my own money, I want to make sure my students do not have to go without this school year!

These materials will help us be successful throughout the whole school year!

With the cart, notebooks, hall passes, and pockets my students and I can stay organized and promote a smooth running classroom with little distractions this year. With the border paper and borders I can create a colorful and welcoming environment for my new students! Finally, the dry erase dots and pencil sharpener will help my students with their assignments daily. Students can use the dry erase dots to write down math problems or jot down notes so that they are easily available as they work. The pencil sharpener can ensure my students always have a sharp pencil when they are working. There is nothing worse than having a dull or broken pencil and not having a sharpener easily available!
