This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the first day of school? The excitement of the first day of school made your stomach tickle. Maybe sometimes you had your supplies and maybe other times you were lacking some supplies. Just the basic supplies are needed for a great start.
My students are a wonderful bunch of boys and girls.
Most come from economically disadvantaged homes. They lack the basic supplies needed to complete activities. They do not let their economic situation keep them from learning. They strive for excellence in their school work. However many will start the school year without the needed supplies.
My Project
Basic school supplies are needed to complete everyday activities. Rulers are needed in math and science to make tables and graphs. Scissors and glue will be used to complete activities in their journals and group projects. Our sharpener refuses to work so we are in desperate need of a new one to get to the point for math. Students at times can print out their papers so the ink is needed to complete small projects. And of course, the colored construction paper will be used to make foldables in the journals and to complete projects and creative assignments.
By supporting our project, you will be providing the opportunity for the children to have the supplies needed to complete learning activities.
