Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Most of my students live in one of the many apartment complexes surrounding the school community. Our school qualifies for a free breakfast program, and more than 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. We also have one of the most ethnically diverse schools in the county with students from more than 20 countries around the world!

Our students are everyday examples of determination, resilience, and hard work.

With the help of DonorsChoose.org, I'm hoping to create an even more exciting and inviting classroom environment where my students can learn and grow. Thank you for your commitment to helping make a greater variety of resources available to our school in order to bring amazing learning opportunities to all of our students!

My Project

My students love to learn, but most are very fidgety. While adapting to learning back at school, a lot of students rely on fidget toys to help them stay focused. Most of these can become a distraction and unsafe for social distanced protocols.

I would like get pop socket desktop fidgets for my students.

They are perfect for all students but especially for my busy ones. They stay in one place and don't become a distraction like some other fidgets do.

We are also running low on glue sticks. We use these daily.

These items will be a game changer for my classroom for sure.
