Supplies and Resources for Immigrant Students' Mental Health and Well-Being

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Twice a week after school, I have created a space for our English Language Learners to come together to do their homework, learn English, or simply spend time with each other.
Our immigrant students at our high school choose to participate in our after school clubs and activities including Dream Team, Homework Help, and AAPI Club.
We welcome them into this space and encourage good mental health and well-being. These materials and supplies will all be used in our after school activities which will help students with their coursework and overall mental health.
Supplies in this project will be used as follows:
Snacks: In our afterschool activities for immigrant students, snacks will be provided to them.
Country flag stickers: Our immigrant students take much pride in their home countries. We often ask students to create projects and work about their countries, promoting an exchange and understand of each other's cultures. Stickers will be used for these projects that will be shared around the school.
Folders: Folders will be used to keep students' work and projects in our afterschool activities.
