Our students are ready and willing to take on the challenges of 21st-century education. They have many diverse styles of learning and need exposure to 21st-century learning resources. They need to collaborate with their peers and lead by example.
We are 95% African-American, 2% Haitian-American, 2% Hispanic, and 1% Caucasian with 94% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Our school is located in the inner city of Miami, Florida. Although our students are faced with many socio-economic challenges, they seek a high-quality education to become productive citizens.
My Project
We are committed to equipping our students for 21st-century math by building a solid foundation in mathematics concepts. Our students will build base-ten, place value and operations fluency through virtual manipulatives and guided notes.
The Teachers pay Teachers (TpT) resources will ensure that our students master and retain key math concepts necessary to successfully complete their real-world math online activities.
These TpT resources have been created and successfully implemented by teachers. This in turn will help our teachers save time in the preparation and delivery of lessons. The dry erase markers will replenish our dwindling supply.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
