Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are my munchkins; they are my whole world! Not only do I cherish each and every single one of my munchkins, but I also believe in them and their future endeavors. Currently, our school serves PreK through sixth grade students in Chicago. I currently see roughly fifty-five students per day.
Over ninety-five percent of our students come from a low-income household, and all receive free or reduced price lunch.
I have many students who came from other countries like Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Honduras, Brazil and Guatemala, all seeking a better life. My students deserve the world, and I try my best to give them my all, to make sure they know this.
My Project
These materials will continue to enhance the classroom that I strive to create. My students use dry-erase markers every day on their dry erase tables. Every student has access to dry-erase markers. However, it's that time of the year where markers dry up. All of the markers I had saved up have been used and are dried up. The sheet protectors allow students to use the modified notes I give them.
With these new supplemental materials, my students will be able to solve problems at their desks with their new markers.
