My Students

I work with 27 dynamic, energetic, and extremely bright 4th grade students in Oakland, California. We are a Title I school, and all students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

When entering the classroom, you can expect to find students that are engaged in learning, inquisitive, and curious.

One can expect to see students that are genuinely concerned about their community and the world that they live in, and want to make a difference. My students understand the importance of a well-rounded education, and know the impact that a quality education can have on them, their future, and the future of this world.

My Project

During creative writing and bringing books to life, students will be delving deeper into literature. They will bring out their creativity through reading and writing as well as developing their science skills, getting ready for their science fair and literature night. The pictures will de displayed and they will get some feedback from our school community members.

Through creative writing, students will bring their stories to life.

They make books with illustrations to share with the school community after school and during our school programs assemblies in front of parents, staff and the community-at-large.
