This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These days, my middle schoolers are facing a lot of stress around reducing germ spread. Our school district has decided to continue to highly recommend masks. It would be great if my students could receive spare masks to try to reduce germ spread in our classroom. The students feel great about taking an active role in keeping their space clean. They take turns being the helper to pass out desk wipes.
Many of my students go without breakfast.
These snacks will help the students to concentrate on studies instead of being distracted with a rumbling stomach. I like to send students home with an afterschool snack to have while doing homework. Sometimes middle schoolers just need a little pick me up to finish their studies!
