Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love to come to school each day. They are full of curiosity and eager to discover new knowledge each morning. My students set the environment in the classroom. We come together each day and express our concerns in our daily lives. This is extremely important in order to create the classroom learning environment. My vision is to create an amazing experience for the students when they rotate to the writing station. I want to provide various materials and resources to help develop "Super Writers", college ready students and life long learners.
My Project
The materials chosen for my students will guide creativity when in the writing station. Students tend to struggle with writing when they reach the upper grade levels. As a kindergarten teacher, I want to reach my students at this young age and help them develop a love for writing. Students will be able to participate in various activities such as, Play Doh writing, letter formation with sand, creating words with magnets, use clipboards to organize their writing, fun pens to get them engaged, and other various materials.
