My Project
I heard a saying today - "if you've met one student with autism, you've met one student with autism". The way our special needs students navigate their world is so different one from another; these sensory tools would enable them to get a better handle on their new, unfamiliar environment (especially for those who were at home during the Covid-19 pandemic). For students with a sensory processing disorder items like the sensory stones, sensory paper, ribbon wands, and lap pads will help them process different sensations. Adjustments and change are already hard enough for most people but for a student with a sensory processing disorder, it can be overwhelming. Other items in this project including the calm strips and cuddle ball are designed to help alleviate that. Thank you so much!
