Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students come to school so excited to learn and want to push their thoughts and ideas as far as they can reach. Their parents are supportive and want them to do well, but many financially struggle, and purchasing school supplies is not an option for them. I do not want students or families to have to worry about this, and with your help, they won't have to!

I love creating different learning activities for my students, and in doing so, they require a variety of supplies for students to be able to participate.

Students will use these materials in a variety of ways. The Expo markers will help us with our daily math lessons. The new clipboards will replace our very worn and used ones. The Post-its will be used in reading for both anchor charts collecting our thinking as well as notes we take during independent reading. The crayons and colored pencils will help us with our many projects and 'craftivities' throughout the year, plus help us color code our essays as we learn to write them. These are just a few examples of how these many materials will be used in countless ways.
