My Project

As a K-5 STEM teacher, I go through materials fast! I strive to let all students design, engineer, and test their creations as we move through our units of study. With 350 students, basic materials like popsicle sticks, glue, Sharpies, and cardstock are used up quickly.

This project will help me set my students up for building success for all of their ideas with a stocked material center!

This year, students designed and engineered birdhouses, windmills, flying bugs for ziplines, playgrounds, casts, and so much more using classroom materials like the ones in this project. I hope to be able to continue these high-interest, high-learning activities with an upgraded refresh of classroom building materials.
