My Students
Help little ones with hands on center time! First grade students LOVE center time, and need a lot of supplies to make it a successful time both with academic and classroom management.
My students are a mixed group of amazing first graders.
They range in ability level from far below grade level to way above grade level. The students in my class attend a charter school, where we work on educating the whole child with hands on, interactive learning where we use the city as our classroom.
My Project
The students in my class range in ability levels and because of this range in abilities, center time has to be very differentiated in order to meet all of their needs. In the same center, the students need to make sure they have activities that will both challenge them as well as work on specific skills. Using stamps is a great way to help with this! By using letter stamps, the students can challenge themselves by stamping out spelling words, sight words, as well as making their words with the phonics skill we are working on for that week. With math stamps, the students can work on place value and number recognition, coins and their values, as well as creating different amounts of money and larger numbers. Not to forget, that stamps are also JUST PLAIN FUN!
Your donations to this project will help my students have stamp pads for the whole year, as well as many different ways to use stamps in center time.
These stamps will help the students be more creative and will create more hands on interactive center time for the students.
