Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Special needs students often need modified tools. Their accommodations might require supplies that can help them with their limited fine-motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Some preschoolers and kindergarten students are coming to school for the very first time. For some it is their first time holding and using pencils and crayons. Their tiny hands have a hard time gripping and gliding with these tools. Jumbo crayons really help students learn how to grip.

These jumbo pencils, erasers, gluesticks, and jumbo sized crayons are also harder to break, easier to spot, and they last longer.

I find that even my older students prefer the jumbo sized supplies for all the same reasons.

My students are so very talented, motivated, creative, and they inspire me daily. I cannot wait to see all the fabulous things they will create with these new crayons.
