Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students at SAES love coming to our school library and reading a wide variety of books! We also actively collaborate with our public library system in Springfield, MA and students participate in reading programs through the public library while at s!
The 2025 Winter Reading Challenge asks students to read a Bob Shea book, but our school library doesn't have any of his books in our collection!
I have chosen a variety of Bob Shea books for this project that should appeal to a wide range of readers at our school. I have also picked books that match our goals for things such as social and emotional learning!
My students really appreciate participating in the public library's reading programs. The prizes involved motivate and encourage them to read more at home and at school. These books will make it easier for them to be a part of this year's winter challenge!
This collection of books will help our students be a part of the public library's winter reading challenge and it will supplement and complement our library's collection.
