Help me give my students series books, such as Ricky Ricotta and the Mighty Robot and The Alien Next Door, to really engage them in their book shopping and reading.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love learning. They come in every morning with smiles on their faces, full of enthusiasm about what the day in front of them holds. The most significant thing about them is how much they love their school. We are part of a school community where the school is new and growing each and every year. The school we are a part of started a little over seven years ago and we are still growing. Our students love being a part of a newer school and helping to grow the community. They wear their school polo shirts with honor, and they love being a part of our community.
Our school is wonderful, but it is a newer school and we are constantly growing.
We are growing in the amount of students in our school and in the amount of resources we want to make available to them.
Something that we are working very hard to build is our classroom library. There is nothing more exciting to my students than getting their hands on good books. We have grown our library so much over the years. An area that I am trying to grow in my classroom library is the series book bins. There is nothing that my third graders love more than following characters and story lines across series of books. They love to share these books with each other and discuss what they notice across the series. The problem is our library just doesn't have these books. I can't provide them the opportunity to read book series together the way I would like to. I want to be able to provide them an abundance of series across different levels and of different interests.
