This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Teaching young boys and girls is fantastic and very rewarding. Most of the children I teach are economically disadvantaged and lack many things. Hurricane Harvey hit many very hard.
They are a happy-go-lucky bunch of kids.
Despite all that has happened, they come to school and strive for excellence. The children faced many struggles this year from the hurricane and have stayed strong and dedicated to their school work. They come to school with a smile and continue to give their best effort. They are a wonderful bunch of children and deserve a little surprise seating to take the stress off and relax.
My Project
The boys and girls need comfortable seating to relax while they read.
The children need to feel comfortable while they work.
The blue flexible couch is just what they need to be stress free so they can get to learning.
Sitting on these cushioned chairs will help the children stay focused and learn. The children like to sit in different areas of the room but it can get tiring quickly if you have to sit on the floor.
When children feel comfortable and loved, they do better in school. With all they have been through this year because of the hurricane, anything we can do to ease their cares is worth it.
