This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Teaching young boys and girls is fantastic and very rewarding. Most of the children I teach are economically disadvantaged and lack many things. The hurricane hit many very hard.
They are a happy-go-lucky bunch of kids.
Despite all that has happened they come to school and strive for excellence. The children faced many struggles this year from the hurricane and have stayed strong and dedicated to their school work. They come to school with a smile and continue to give their best effort. They are a wonderful bunch of children and deserve a little surprise seating to take the stress off and relax.
My Project
Wooden chairs are okay but flex, cushioned seating is better.
The boys and girls need a variety of comfortable seating to relax while they read.
They children need to feel comfortable while they work. The bean bags are just what they need to be stress free so they can get to learning.
They like to wiggle and wobble so the balance balls will help the kids that like to move and move while they focus and learn.
The children also like to sit on the floor, but it can get hard quickly. The floor seating will ease their bodies.
When children feel comfortable and loved, they do better in school. With all they have been through this year, anything we can do to ease their cares is worth it.
