My Students

My super second graders are soaring to success! I'm starting a new classroom in WI this year after working in MN in various roles including 5th grade, title math, and administration. I am so excited to teach again but I am short on resources for my students as I gifted many away. My students are super students and they deserve the best. I want to be able to aid them in their best learning by adding new tools to engage them.

My Project

This project will provide a variety of seating options to support different learning styles while utilizing read alouds to encourage SUPER acceptance. In addition to the seating opportunities, students will also be provided with various read alouds that will support different learners and help students to build a mindset that will embrace those who may learn differently than them. For those students who experience autism, sensory disorders, or ADHD, these read alouds and classroom instruction will help them to understand that they are not alone and help bridge the gap of understanding with their classmates. The ultimate goal is a world of acceptance that will begin in our classroom and spread out through our community.
