Super Seat Storage

My students need seat storage sacks for their school supplies and bins for daily math and reading materials!

My Students

Our Title 1 school is located in a very diverse neighborhood in Brooklyn. My students are 5 years old. They are an enthusiastic and hard-working bunch. Many of my kindergarteners are growing up in low-income homes and do not have access to the learning materials at home needed to promote their academic growth. Regardless of the challenges they face, my students are highly motivated and love coming to school.

The spectrum of developmental levels in kindergarten is vast, and I am working hard to meet the needs of all my students.

My Project

I am asking for 25 seat sacks to help store our classroom materials. These seat sacks will be placed on the back the chairs so that my students have their very own space to organize their school tools. Most of the seat sacks that we have now are old, stretched and torn; the materials fall right out of them. It is hard for my kindergartners to stay focused and organized when they constantly are losing their markers, books and folders.

These seat sacks will help our classroom be a more organized, clean, and effective place to learn!

They will allow for smoother transitions and maximize the time we spend learning together.

I am also asking for various book bins to keep our books and math materials well organized and easily accessible.
