My Students

Energetic! Open-minded! Innovative! My exuberant students are learning to organize and apply themselves to science, health, and promoting a community of learners schoolwide Our school is a diversified blend of cultures developing skills to support science and community inclusiveness.

My students value the intentional practice of co-creating a healthy environment where people demonstrate and experience learning and belonging.

Students have been working toward the promotion of an edible garden using materials to grow food and record what they are learning in journals and leverage technology with Wacom drawing tablets that connect to their school Chromebooks.

My Project

Building a learning environment that feels safe and open takes a lot of hard, intentional work. One of the hardest things about that work is being able to stay present through moments of emotional intensity. Leveraging technology for students' well-being is integral in the lives of young children.

To do the work of outdoor learning with our edible garden lab, we need to have protective pouches for Wacom drawing tablets, an organized storage unit, books for promoting life science and social-emotional support, and protective edible garden materials.

These supplies and materials will allow each student the ability to collaborate and allow them opportunities to utilize technology to draw models, diagrams, and build social-emotional collaboration.
