My Students
My students come from a large Baltimore City Middle school that connects students from a diverse group of socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures. It is my goal this year, to level the supply inequities and alleviate student stress leaving them open to inquiry and learning
Daily students request the needed tools (journal, pencils, paper, highlighters, colored pencils etc in order to complete Science reading assignments, experiments, modeling, class work and homework assignments.
My students are inquisitive 6th grade scientists open to learning and exploring. They are researchers, writers, who enjoy hands on experiences. With amazing critical thinking skills who for the most part come to school with the positive attitude.. ( fingers crossed). It is my goal to keep the momentum going and provide students with a no-worry zone about materials which my research and observation has shown to increase they are more likely to gain success.

My Project
Preparation is key for students to meet success. More and more as the day and year progresses, my students come to school less and less prepared. To help my students meet success supplies, pencils, pens, paper, notebooks are on hand for students who need them.
Having these supplies for students provides an opportunity for students to be prepared, to not worry or stress out about not having the needed supplies.
As a result, students can complete their work and become more engaged In learning. Student journals and pencils will capture science concepts, notes, vocabulary and models, thereby contributing to student success.
