Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our scholars come to school ready to learn! Daily they explore new topics in math, test out science activities, and improve their reading through inspiring books. They work so hard and are ready to have successful futures regardless of their life situations.

Each day presents different challenges, but these students are ready to overcome and thrive with whatever is thrown their way.

My students are ready to make their mark on the world by making grand academic strides and becoming leaders in the community. Because this is the first year of our school being open, our scholars will be showing the community how proud they are to be a Viking!

My Project

Villa Heights is a brand new school with very little resources and no school shirts! The teachers and staff of the school are passionate about giving our students the absolute best education possible and school shirts will help students feel more attached to their school. Our ribbon cutting is in October and we need to show other schools in the district that Villa Heights students are amazing and ready to learn. Also, when we are on field trips our students wear their normal navy and white uniform clothes, but they are ready to stand out! I am requesting custom-made t-shirts for the entire school. My students are going to love their school, teachers and friends. They will be proud of all that they learn and ready to show it off.

School shirts will help our students stand proud of the school that they attend during our ribbon cutting ceremony and on field trips.

Because of the high needs and high poverty of many of our students, they do not have school spirit shirts. These shirts will help them to feel confident and be proud of their new school. They are wonderful students and deserve to wear new shirts proudly!
