This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students struggle with reading and wanting to read. It is difficult to get them interested in reading. I am empowering my students through visual art, audio, technology, and projects. My students find it difficult to acquire the materials needed to be creative. I want to give them a one of kind educational experience.
Scholastic Scope is more than just a magazine.
It provides leveled resources that make it possible to differentiate instruction. Scope provides videos, audio articles, vocabulary slideshows, articles at two Lexile levels, and scaffolded activities. It will Introduce and reinforce the ELA skills most critical to analytical reading, writing, and test taking.
Students will be able to watch clips and listen to audio of the articles without disturbing each other. Scope supports higher-level thinking as well as whole-class, small-group, and independent instruction. This is the easiest strategy for me to use to get my students to read and learn about current events at the same time without hesitation.
My students will become socially conscious about the world in which they live.
