My Project
We are a Title I school trying to create equity in literacy in the Washington, DC area. My kindergarteners are so eager to learn to read. Most of them had the benefit of going to Pre-K and they already know most of their letters and sounds.
Help us give them a firm foundation for small group instruction using the Science of Reading model as my method.
These decodables and non-fiction book sets will also be used in our independent reading station for extra practice. Having four copies will also allow them to partner read with each other, something they absolutely love!
My goal is to increase their decoding ability all the while encouraging them to have a love of reading. Help us make it happen!
